Intro:
Good morning and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2012. 2011 came and went in a hurry but I have to say it was a good year overall. As I reflect I am grateful to God for the many blessings in my life both personally and here at JCC. That being said I am looking forward to what God has in store for 2012 and I am believing for a great year. I'm hoping for a healthier me and I'm praying for a healthier JCC.
Therefore, we are starting the year off with a 90 day health challenge. Over the next 90 days we are going to talk a lot about being a healthier church and about being healthier individuals. Personally I am setting some goals and as a church we are going to push hard towards being healthier in each of our directions. Today I want to set the tone for the next 90 days by discovering health from a biblical perspective.
Message:
• ME - When it comes to health I want to make it clear that I am not only speaking of physical health but I am talking about being healthy in every area of life. Physically, spiritually, financially and what about relationships? Are they healthy? Are you healthy as a whole?
• WE - I'm not sure what you have in mind concerning 2012 but I do hope you have set some goals to become a healthier you. Maybe you have a specific weight loss goal. Maybe a financial goal. Maybe a career or education goal. Maybe you are saying this is the year you become healthier spiritually. Whatever the case I hope for your success and I invite you to journey with me towards those goals. Concerning being a healthier person and church in 2012 let's dive into a few biblical texts to build a foundation for where we are going in the next 90 days.
